Large-format 3D printers let you print big parts without cutting and joining them. There are two common technologies for large-format 3D printers: FDM and SLA. We advise on and quote both types. Developed from basic desktop 3D printers, large-format machines are far more productive than ordinary 3D printers. A large-format 3D printer (one with a large build size) also differs a lot from ordinary printers in quality, accuracy and more.

The H600 large-format 3D printer is made by Sky-Tech, one of Taiwan’s trusted 3D printer manufacturers. With standout features, high stability and a very large build size, Sky-Tech quickly took over the mid-range 3D printer market in Taiwan and across the region. Sky-Tech’s large-format printers are also used by several big corporations in the US, which confirms the brand’s standing and quality.

The H600 is the largest 3D printer in Vietnam to date, with a build height of up to 600 mm.
The Taiwan-made Skytech H600 3D printer has arrived in Vietnam
The H600 is currently the largest enclosed mid-range 3D printer in Vietnam. With its huge build volume of 400 mm bed diameter x 600 mm height, it makes rapid prototyping of large and extra-large parts easier than ever.

With a range of layer heights, the H600 gives you more options for rapid prototyping

Specifications of the H600, Vietnam’s largest large-format 3D printer

Key features of Vietnam’s largest 3D printer
We ran the machine for 100 hours straight to build a 1:1 scale 3D model of a motorcycle helmet. The helmet is fairly large, but it was no problem for the H600’s 400 mm bed and “huge” 600 mm height. After more than 72 hours, the helmet model was done, and many people were surprised by how stable the machine stayed over such a long run and how sharp the part came out.

Do you often have to split parts before printing because your printer is too small for your large products? Do you struggle with highly complex parts that need lots of support material? Does your 3D printer keep breaking down mid-job, among other problems? The H600 is the machine that solves those problems.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between large-format FDM and SLA 3D printers?
Large-format FDM extrudes molten plastic filament. It suits big parts at low material cost, but the surface shows clear layer lines. Large-format SLA uses a laser to cure resin, giving a smoother surface and sharper detail. It suits display models and casting patterns, but material costs are usually higher.
Why print a large part in one piece instead of splitting and joining it?
Printing in one piece cuts assembly work, avoids visible seams and keeps the overall accuracy of the part. On the other hand, a big single print takes a very long time and carries a higher risk of failing partway, so splitting into sensible sections is still often the better choice.
Does a large-format 3D printer need a special installation space?
It usually needs a solid floor because the machine is heavy, a stable power supply for prints that run for days, and a room with steady temperature. SLA machines also need a spot away from direct sunlight, plus space for washing and UV curing after printing.
When should you use foam CNC instead of large-format 3D printing?
For very large models such as outdoor statues, terrain models and architectural models several meters across, foam CNC is usually faster and cheaper than 3D printing. Large-format 3D printing is the better fit when you need complex detail, a fine surface or a material harder than foam.
